Bike (Ironman France Bike Leg)

Nick found me through an existing personal training client and his goal was/is to complete ironman France next year. He hasn't completed the programme as yet, but when he approached me, he wanted to focus on his cycling as in past triathlons it has been the bike leg, in his opinion, that has let him down. Being an experienced triathlete, he did not want any input into the rest of his programme but had left areas for me to work on. The time frame he gave me was a six week training block in the middle of his self-made programme. Although I was aware of the rest of his programme so I could gauge his target fitness levels pre and post six week block, I have set out a simple programmed for him to follow.

We had a meeting one evening in Central London to discuss his goals and he reported that he had no injuries and no problems doing both gym and bike work if I believed this would help him improve. The bike training was to happen during next March/April time and Nick specifically said that he didn't mind cycling in the rain or cold. On top of the programme I wrote for nick, he came to my gym and I talked him through some of the exercises he wasn’t sure about. He continues to email me regarding questions about core stability and other such issues that he is slowly learning about and its great to know that not only is he training but he furthing his knowledge by asking questions.

I have written the programmes to accommodate where Nick lives, near Richmond Park in London and I hope he has plenty of success with them.
